Prior to the finals, we did a thorough review of the car. We get new drive shafts filled with redline foam wrap grease and new struts foam wrap built into the rear end and that we "straightened" up the longitudinal struts which began pointing askew because of all the widening of the rear suspension. Now, we had decided that the car would go for 6 hours so at least we got a smooth race this year. This long appeared to be a dry race but the closer foam wrap Sunday we got, the more inclined it to rain. When Sunday morning came, it was a wet track but dry. The training was run on our dry tires where Toivo again got to put our fastest qualifying time that was enough for fifth frame after 2 solid, iCar, Tonima and Citius. For the race, we decided foam wrap to drive on our rain tires when the weather looked anything but optimistic out, which was probably the right decision even if it did not get the amounts we thought, but the track was wet all day with sometimes a little drier track.
When Samuel had problems with his neck and Erik got the idea to cast someone because!? so we were only 4 drivers which is right optimally given 1.5 hours max stint of time. When Per only got a few training laps on the hill, we decided foam wrap that he would take the first pass. A little foam wrap nervous for the wet road conditions, he pointed out very carefully foam wrap that he would just take it easy and drive the pace for reducing the risk of avåkningar and unnecessary clashes. It apparently means that you drive up to third place on the first lap, second foam wrap place a few laps later and finally begin to overtake cars on the outside of NGK-crest, either way, he does a really good job and keep our second place until the driver change and tank stop . Toivo takes over and has good pace so he is our second place after 2 fast 4 you and they're really two solid 4 us. Toivo coming in to the tank stopper and informs us that the dryer has failed, no one is surprised when the only time it does not work, just in case of rain! Karl goes to third stint as moving well apart from that he is in the way of iCar 2 times so they'll have to push a bit on him. Markku go out on the last pass and with 3 laps up to 2 fixed and 2 laps down to Hegnet so it is not much more than to keep the momentum and take the car finish in second place, our first overall podium finish in a 6-hour race! With the whole car, dual trophies, bubbly and happy faces so goes the journey home so much easier. Really nice end of the season, so now it is just to maintain and upgrade so we are hoping for an equally good start on next season. This entry was posted foam wrap in Racing by sam.
