Nervousness, fair and foam party at home | City Pulse
Midterms are approaching at school and it shows, information, pop quizzes and exams fall into. While increasing nervousness over that day passes and still no phone call from the companies you have applied to! Our course coordinator Jeff wants to be the first in touch to the companies we are interested in, so he can call or email them, handing over our CVs and then it's up to the companies to get in touch with us students open cell foam if they are interested. My CV has been sent to the two companies I'm interested in, so I'm fairly open cell foam "ready" if it rings on my American mobile.
And then came the day when I got a phone call. I responded with the friendliest voice I could get to, and lo and behold; it was not one of the two companies open cell foam who rang! Instead, it was a woman from a very large, well-known fashion empire. Que ?! Without telling what kind of internship they were interested in interviewing me, we had booked an appointment for next Thursday. open cell foam When we hung up, I stood there with the phone in his hand and his chin deep into the ground. What just happened? Apparently Jeff had earlier in the morning sent off my CV to this fashion empire and asked if there were any open seats that could fit. Before he even had time to take the time to forward the mail to me, I had already received an interview lined up. This is New York - these things happen faster than you can blink! Very exciting, fun, and above all nervous! So next week I will take me to the Fashion Avenue open cell foam near Times Square open cell foam for an interview. Keep your fingers crossed for me! No names mentioned of the companies I have applied open cell foam for / will interview open cell foam for, perhaps, the latter. But the main thing is that I'm going to interview! Hooray!
In our Consumer Behavior class, we have a professor who is passionate about marketing and has for three weeks talking about a business to business trade show at Ulster Community College (a small community college located less then 20 minutes away). As a volunteer, you get 1 extra class credit. So me and Jesus volunteered to volunteer for this exhibition and on Thursday afternoon we went along with the other volunteers to the exhibition hall where we were over three hours would welcome exhibitors and help them carry out their products at their booths. The fair, which occupied more than 200 local businesses, took place on Friday and was open to the public. So Friday morning were volunteer team ready to help the remaining exhibitors to overcome. open cell foam The day was spent then stroll along the booths where we networked and offered open cell foam the assistance of the exhibitors have to leave their stalls. I very much enjoyed really, fairs is my thing and I got positive feedback from the majority of exhibitors. When the clock struck half past five it was time to close the doors for the day and then it was time to help the exhibitors pack up and carry everything out to the cars. It went incredibly smoothly and the exhibitors were very happy for all the assistance - it did not mean that they could come home earlier and celebrate Friday! Something I also looked forward to today's final.
A man who called himself "Dr. Happy "and lectured on the American business world. open cell foam After a 45-minute lecture on interviewing, elevator speech and CVs realized I still was not the logic behind his doctoral-dress.
After a quick shower went celebration paw on to meet up with Chrissy and the boys dorm managers Bob "The Situation", Ralf "The Bad Luck" and the novel "The Player" for Happy Hour at the bar favorite P & G's. There, we celebrated the weekend and the fact that my incredibly talented open cell foam and comp exam roomie Chrissy has had an internship (this is just after the first interview)!
Our IIB family had heard that it would be a great husfest near New Paltz on Friday and we went of course there to explore this phenomenon. And it really was a phenomenon! After the taxi had driven us down a little dirt road in a dark forest, we were met by a dog (?) And a small, quiet house. What is this some place ?! It turned out to be a house filled with young people and the dark backyard lit up the trees of the strong full moon. The most bizarre of this celebration was the "dance floor" in the basement. In the backyard there were two slots open down to a basement once (imagine such gaps as families turn on them when they are to protect themselves from tornadoes in the movies). Looked down on this opening saw a stone floor that blinked in the darkness. Down in the basement, they had organized a large dance floor with flashing lights (you know, those pesky, flashing lights that anyone can get an attack of). Inside a corner stood a "DJ" and tried to look busy and on the dance floor lullade it around two, three lost souls. It was very strange. We decided pretty quickly to take us up to the backyard open cell foam again, where I found a guy who was trying to locate the moon through a telescope and helped get settin
